Dr. Obolsky is a board certified expert in forensics, addiction, and psychiatry. He has 30+ years of experience. He specializes in treating PTSD and other psychiatric disorders. This includes assessments in medical and legal settings. He is recognized in “America’s Top Psychiatrists” for his work on conflict, stress, and trauma.

Dr. Obolsky is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine where he continues to teach medical students. 

Dr. Obolsky’s forensic practice is focused on evaluating civil cases and providing expert opinions as to fitness and competency. He has extensive experience in personal injury and workers compensation. His expertise also includes employment malpractice, will contests, and discrimination. He is knowledgeable in other areas of law requiring psychiatric expertise.

Dr. Obolsky received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University. His past professional experience includes teaching at Northwestern University Law School. He also served as an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He founded and managed the Division of Forensic Psychiatry at the Northwestern University Medical School. He was co-director of the Professionals at Risk Program. He also founded and managed the Psychiatry and Law Program at the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. Additionally, he served as an Assistant Medical Director at one of the largest Forensic psychiatric hospitals for the criminally insane.

Dr. Obolsky lectures extensively to medical, legal, and insurance groups nationally and internationally. Because of his professional expertise and dynamic speaking skills, Dr. Obolsky is often quoted in the media. He frequently serves as an expert witness. His expertise is in psychological and physical trauma. He also specializes in psychiatric causation and emotional damage.
